I got this from Cassandra Phillips one year and put it in landscaping. This plants has 12 flowers on it now. The plant is too big for me to get in the lava rocks to get a better pix.

This plant had been covered by the brush around it and when I rediscovered it and cut away the brush, it bloomed. I forget how much sun these like.

The fragrance wafting the trails lined with this plant are truly special. These will grow to be enormous. This one is new into the landscaping.

Notice the word “amethystoglossa” starts with a small letter “a”. This means its a species not a hybrid. This is a young plant and a first bloom. Will snap my big one when it opens which should be on my birthday. Time will tell.
