The above blooming orchids are keeping me company on the Farm. The bottom right is Sobralia decora, one of my favorites and lives in the ground. When it blooms all the flowers open at once. My dog Cleopatra is buried beneath it. I can talk to her when I water and smile when she blooms. Bottom left has the fragrance of roses and seems neon in the Hawaiian sunshine. Top right, Lc. Novissima ‘Blue Shadows’ didn’t want to bloom in a pot but loves being free on a tree stump in full sun. The middle top is Elleanthus capitatus. Its a strange species that hardly looks like an orchid and The top left is so up close that it seems erotic. It has a waxy texture and the scent of citrus.
